About Me

I am currently a fourth year PhD student in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Cornell University. I am a member of the Foundations of Information Engineering (FoIE) group. My research advisor is Professor Aaron B. Wagner. My major research interests include information theory, wireless communication, optimization, and detection and estimation. In particular, I am interested in distributed compression for source coding and hypothesis testing.

I received the Bachelor of Technology (with Honors) degree in Instrumentation Engineering with a minor in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India in 2006. During 2006-07, I worked as a Design Engineer in the Multimedia Group at Samsung Electronics, Bangalore, India. 

I received the Irwin and Joanne Jacobs's fellowship from Cornell University in 2008, the President of India silver medal from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 2006, and the best paper award at the technical paper presentation contest, Samsung Electronics, Bangalore, 2006.
